The server I am using doesn't seem to have PEAR. Though I've read much PEAR related material here and on pear.php.net, I don't think i have understood the full concept. Thus, the following question.
Since PEAR is not available and if it is, I cannot install any new modules, can I simply include() the module I'm interested in using in my script? Are there security issues involved if the modules are not "installed"? Are there possibilities that things may not work as intended? Or should I simply treat PEAR modules as libraries or extensions?
