[RESOLVED] Select * issue

hi there

I have a customer names cell and product type cell consisting, sometimes of the same customer, but different products

cust_names | Product-type
Ara                            2100
Ara                            2140
Bba                           2100
Bca                           2100

I have a dropdown which selects all the customers from the mysql db

Ara                 

Ara                 

Bba                

Bca

The problem is..I only want one customer of the same name, to show up in the dropdown
so the output would look like this

Ara                 

Bba                

Bca

anyone know how I can do this ?

SELECT DISTINCT
