hi guys,

can php scan a web page for a particular string? what i'm looking for is a function that will accept a url and tell me if the words "out of stock" is on the webpage. here's what i'm imagining...a form where i can put multiple urls

www.domain.com/page1.html
www.domain.com/page2.html

hit submit and it will tell me which pages have the term "out of stock" on its webpage. can anyone help?

try looking at strpos() for testing whether or not the text exists.

look at fopen() or the cURL library to fetch the pages.
