Apache server configuration problem

Hi Friends,

Some help needed in the apache configuration

I am running the php applications on my systems apache server

I will access http://localhost/application/pagename.php

Assume that my system name is testuser

I am not able to access the same from other system in the intranet or from my browser by using the following url

http://testuser/application/pagename.php

What configuration I have to made in the apache server

nothing in apache, sounds more of a network issue. have you tried using the computers ip instead of name? ie;

http://10.1.1.3/application/pagename.php

You can have your apache listen on a static local private IP address on port 80 and add a DNS entry for it at the private IP address. Then make sure that there are no ports fowarding to that IP address in your routing table. With that, you just created an intranet apache server.

i said this in your last post (of the same question), i really dont think this is an apache issue, more a network issue. apache is pretty much setup for this out of the box.

at least in my experience (i run 4 pc's networked at home), ive never had to configure apache especially for this. then again, my whole network uses static ip's.

Apache is by default configured to accept connections from anywhere.

I would have to agree with the others here, and suggest you try using network tools first.

try pinging your server from the client, and doing a traceroute. Let us know how you get on with these.
