[RESOLVED] how to retrieve current mysql configuration?

Hi all,

I need to recompile mysql to add ssl support and don't remember all of the options I used when I compiled the beast the first time. Is there a query or php/perl command that will show me this info?

OS: Fedora Core 2
MySQL version: 4.1.12

If you still have the directory where you originally compiled the source for MySQL you should be able to check the config.status file in the root of that directory. Do a search within that file for the first occurence of './configure'. That's assuming, of course, that you didn't delete the source tree after you compiled.

sorry I'm, just getting back to this. Had a few fires to put out.

Ok, I didn't delete the src directory and see all of the configure and config files. The files in there are:

config.guess
config.h
config.h.in
config.log
config.status
config.sub
configure
configure.in
ltconfig

And config.h, config.log, config.status are the only 3 which have a mod date from when I installed the db. I looked at them and couldn't see what the config options were. I'll keep looking, though.
