ok my below is an example of what i have to do until i figure this out.
printf ('<img src="sig.php?username=%s"><br>', $row[0]);
this is what i want to do but i keep getting errors from it.
printf ('<a href="javascript:sig('%s')">%s</a><br>', $row[0]);
