I have this link in PHP5:

echo "<a href=\"www.yahoo.com\" target=\"_blank\">Yahoo Page</a>";

I want this link to point to "www.yahoo.com" page but when you test it in a browser it points to "http://localhost/test/www.yahoo.com" !!

How cand I get rid of the localhost; it seems Apache2 searches only in my "test" document root!!

echo(' <a href="http://www.yahoo.com" target="_blank">Yahoo Page</a>');

Try that, there are a few other ways too..but thats how i would do it.

try this instead:

echo '<a href="http://www.yahoo.com" target="_blank">Yahoo Page</a>';

basically, you just forgot to put in the "http://"

Write the URL properly: http://www.yahoo.com/

Because "www.yahoo.com" is a relative URL that specifies a document named "www.yahoo.com" in the same location as the current page.
