Exec

Hi all,

I have problem with "Exec" function in PHP5. When I call Exec to run an external program through a form, it fails but when I run my PHP page by PHP interpreter like: PHP MyPHP.php it just works fine and external program executes successfully. Can anybody help ? Whats the difference ?

hey again, what os is this under? windows or linux.
do you know what user the webserver runs as? most likely its different from your username, which you are using when calling the program from the command line.

Hi again,

I use Windows XP and since I conenct to web server (Apache2) as localhost I dpn't think there should be any problem because of users. Also, my page doesn not ask for username and password, so I think the problem is something else.
