mail() error

Warning: mail(): SMTP server response: 501 Invalid Address in C:\Accounts\jsniggit\wwwRoot\inc\prayer.php on line 67

Line 67 = mail($mail,$subject,$message,$header);

Anyone have any ideas??

If I knew the value of $mail it might help. The 501 Invalid Address indicates that the email address you are trying to send to is not formatted correctly.

If you let us know what the value of $mail is when that line is executed (and fails) and what type/version mailserver you are using that would be helpful.

HI Im new here and this is my first post so I thought I would try and be helpful.

It might be a good idea to check the format of the email address before sending the email. You can do this using this code:

preg_match("/\w+([-+.]\w+)*@\w+([-.]\w+)*\.\w+([-.]\w+)*/", $email)

Well. $mail is just a set variable to my email address...i guess the type of mail server would be a pop3? and im not sure what version.
