Help needed with PHP & XML

Hi everybody,

my first post 😉

I've entered the forums here because I'm desperatly seeking for an answer for updating a simple XML structure online.

For example, I have this in XML, UTF-8, read by flash:

<news title="News">
<item url="www.blabla.com" img="picture.jpg">Lorem ipsum</item>
<item url="www.blabla.com" img="picture.jpg">Lorem ipsum</item>
<item url="www.blabla.com" img="picture.jpg">Lorem ipsum</item>
<item url="www.blabla.com" img="picture.jpg">Lorem ipsum</item>
</news>

Is there some PHP tool who's able to read and update/modify this XML data? I searched hours for it, but the tools I found where far too complex. Intention is to use it for clients who wants to update the news in a wysiwyg way.

PS. My PHP knowledge is pretty weak...

Now I only have to find out how to make an interface for it, so users are able to fill in the fields and delete/edit records.

Man...all those languages 🙂
