RewriteRule help

Hi all,

I'm trying to use .htaccess to convert a long url into a nice-looking SEF one. However, I'm bad at RegEx so I was hoping that someone in here could give me a hand.

I have this url:
http://www.mysite.com/component/option,com_wrapper/Itemid,8/

and I would like it to look like this:
http://www.mysite.com/contact/ or something like that. Is that possible? Or will I need will I need to put something within every set of slashes? Like http://www.mysite.com/something/something/contact/

Your orginal URL is the point of using mod_rewrite.

It is to turn URLs such as

website.com/index.php?id=3&name=Tim&a=grep

into

website.com/index.php/3/Time/grep

Like your current URL.

Pulling the data from the URL ina neater fashion. If you change the URL to read /contact/, how is the server going to know what the data it really needs is (i.e. 3, Tim, grep)?
