apache install

to all guru
im using windows xp and im tryng to install apache/php/mysql
when i installed apache i got this error

no installed service "apache2"
What does this mean? i tried to look at the service but i dont see anything apache2?? This occured when i tried to start the apache. MY installation was very sucessfull
and also what does this error means

cannot make socket on 0.0.0.0

And forgive me for being so dumb in this apache /php
after i installed the apache what are the things that i need to configure in httpd.conf to work in php?

Considering it's windows, the first question I'd ask is, did you restart your computer?

IIRC, Apache on Windows has a "run in console" link that gets added to the start up menu. What happens if you try that?

"cannot make socket" ... are you running on an admnistrator-level account? What about firewall settings?

what are the things that I need to configure in httpd.conf

LoadModule and AddType directives, at a bare minimum....

I uninstall IIS, forget to uninstall this one. I just dont know why apache wont work when IIS installed??

PHP is working well 🙂
