One of the many pitfalls is if your 'from' header is your work email. Many email servers simply drop the email if the from header is an internal email address arriving from the outside.
If this is not the case, please provide more information:
What mail server do you have at your work? What does your code look like? What does the header look like on those mail that reach their destination?
The more info you can provide, the better the chance for a helpful answer.
