Notification of a new file uploaded.

Hi,

I want to show some text on a page if a new file has been uploaded to a directory. Does anyone know of a script or some code that may be of help?

I would like to show a jpg or gif file with the text "A new file has been uploaded" I also want to be able to be able to set the variable of hours.

I don't know your framework so I can't be specific, but you can just set a flag somewhere in the db upon successful upload, and clear the flag once you have displayed the message.

Hi,

Yes Jasp182 is rioght you have to use some kind of media to create a index of files. So if there's a new file the php script will compare and show the new file uploaded message etc.

I see. Is there any way around this?

How would I reference the db table in my code? then how do I set the variable_id to clear? all this would be in the php code I suspect. I am a newbie. I use phpmyadmin for mysql management.
