Since I'm very new to PHP, learning from a book...my book is PHP 5. Are the differences between PHP 4 and PHP 5 different enought to cause me problems if I choose a PHP 4 host? 😕
I would say so.
This is because every time something happens which you don't expect, you won't be sure if it's a problem in yuor code or a PHP4/5 issue. Get the book to match your host.
