MySQL / PHP Memory limits

Hello all. I am guessing that this is a memory problem.

I am using a script to transfer about 65,000 rows of data to another table, while grabbing a remote image and saving it locally.

I am getting about 6,000 rows down, then I get a core file with a memory dump in it.

Can someone please inform me of what all I need to free up this problem?

Should I use myslq_free_result and such?

The transfering the rows wouldn't need any PHP to do it with the appropriate INSERT FROM statement, so that can be done purely in the database; then all that's left for the script to do is this grabbing business.
