[RESOLVED] Mysql / PHP help

I am trying to build a script that will delete all entries in a table older than 24 hours.

using php.

is there any way someone could possibly help me out with a simple example?

the field I'm basing off of is a datetime field.

Well a easy way would be:

$sql = "DELETE FROM tableName WHERE dateField <= '".date("Y-m-d H:i:s",mktime(date("H")-24))."'";

but I've got 1 issue I need to base all times on the server not the client

That is based on server time.

can I hit you up for one other question. if you look at the query that I am doing, I don't understand why it isn't inserting to the db.

much less deleting (haven't got that far yet).

I was being stupid. the primary key in the table was not set to autoinc.

causing the error.
