quick URL Rewrite question..

Hello everyone,

I have the following line in my .htaccess file:
RewriteRule ^{aloans/4815162342,([0-9]+)/} /aloans/index.php?id=$1

it works perfect.

My question is, is there a way to make "aloans" a wildcard on both sides of that line?

aloans is an actual directory on the web server. This line turns the URL:

http://www.mysite.com/aloans/index.php?id=3

into:

http://www.mysite.com/aloans/4815162342,3/

I would like to be able to do this automatically with any directory, i.e.

http://www.mysite.com/news/index.php?id=3, etc..

I hope I wasn't too confusing, thanks in advance!

Try...

^(.+)/4815162342,([0-9]+)/ /$1/index.php?id=$2

Why the funky # (4815162342) plus comma? Just curious.

That worked perfect. Thank you. the numbers are from lost, and its just kind of an easter egg thing in the URL for a buddy of mine.
