I'm relatively new to PHP. Unfortunately, as I've not had enough time in the past to practice it, all I can do at the moment is do simple maths operations and make text appear in a browser.
However, I currently have the job of doing a new version of the website for the student radio station that I'm a member of and one of the things it will have is a frequently updated news section. I've heard that there is something in PHP that will enable me to take text from a phpBB forum post and copy it into the news section of the homepage on my site. It'll be a lot easier than manually editing the XHTML every time something has to be added.
Can anyone help me?
(FYI, the site is being made out of markup that complies with the XHTML 1.1 standard, CSS2 and small-ish sections of JavaScript. The JavaScript functions and CSS are kept in external files).
