equation format?

i've got this from a javascript;
P = ((AR)/12) (1/(1-(Math.pow(1/(1+R),T))));

which i put into php as;

$P= (($A*$R)/12) * (1/(1-(Math.pow(1/(1+$R),$T))));

but i get different answers! i know the first one is right. is there something wrong with Math.pow ?

The manual suggests that Math.pow doesn't exist in PHP, the function is rather called simply pow().

I don't know if that is the same as your JavaScript function, but I suspect it may be.
