Help with php rotating images....

I need to have a script that rotates images very simple script that just rotates picture what would be the best way to go about that?......i have looked on google and found that either imagemagick or gd2library but i dont know how to install them can someone please help?

php 4.0 and im on windows xp im not sure how to install and configure gd2 to run with php i was hoping someone could help me out?

they probly have loads of help about the apache thing in there.

and err.. how about using javascript for an image rotator? its probly a lot easier if youre not great at php.
