$_POST issue in two different computers

I am working on a personal website. I am putting a login option. In my computer, my website is perfectly working without any error. But in other computer outside my LAN, there is a big problem. It seems that the $_POST is not working properly.

I am trying to pass the username and password to another php page. this page will process the username and password. In my computer where I develop the website, it is working. but using other computers outside my lan, it is not working. I do not know what is the problem.

just for a test try
$HTTP_POST_VARS['the_name_here'];

If this works then you'll need to upgrade the php version

I am using PHP 5.0.5, is this really outdated? well, i am just wondering... In my computer, it is really working. no problem at all. but when I tried a computer outside of my house, the $_POST is not working. it cannot get the value from the form in the previous page. It is really confusing. If you can take a look, this is my website. www.ikodeko.com.

What's on line 5 and 6 of process_sign_in.php?

Your php version is the newest or close to the newest release.

$username = $REQUEST['username'];
$password = $REQUEST['password'];

I also tried before $REQUEST[''] to use $POST['']; It is also not working.

I am hosting this website in my own computer. What is that factor that makes it work here in my own computer but have some complications when I use it outside. You also encounter an error. Here, I have no errors. This is really weird.

I have no idea but you could try changing the form on sign_in.php to

<form name="sign_in" method="post" action="process_sign_in.php">

also change the $REGUEST back to $POST

I doubt this would works but even though it seems like it won't work it just might.

This is my current form name.

I am using URL forwarding. My ISP blocks port 80 so I am hosting this on port 81. I am using URL forwarding of DNSexit to bypass this.

This is what I found out. What does this mean? I used a web proxy server and tried to log in. I saw this message.
