I have installed this php software package called webDate onto my 1&1 web space and after the installation when I went to view the site it says 'Zend Optimizer not installed'.

After consulting with 1&1 regarding this problem the hosting package needed to be updated for me to install zend on my space. so, i did that and followed the instructions on the 1&1 FAQ [ ] and it still isnt working working. I was told that I needed to write my own php.ini file and drop it onto the server for this to work, but I don't have a clue about php.ini and wouldn't know where to start. The only thing I could think of was to download an example of the file from somewhere and modifiy it to my own needs, but having done this it's still not working.

I have the ZendOptimizer.so file on the webspace and apparently all I need is the php.ini to be functioning properly and this will work.

If anyone could supply me with a php.ini file and offer any guidance regarding where I should be putting the extension lines that would be fantastic.. I desparately need to sort this problem, it's been buggin me for ages.

Many Thanks
Dave

ZEND Optimizer is no longer support beyond PHP 5.2

if you have a webscribble webdate script that requires Zend Optimizer to run I can help

I have been running Webdate sites for 10 years and have the fix to move onto newer servers where Zend Optimizer is not available

let me know if you need help with this
