sessions and iframes

I have a problem with a registration-gui where each step is placed into a separate iframe. The parent document handles the session variables just fine, but they are not accessible in the iframes, of course...

The iframes, and the box holding them, are all in one script, selecting what to show based on sub_ids, and wether or not it is in iframe mode or not.

Any tips or tricks on how to access parent page session-vars, or transfer these to the iframe somehow?

For the moment I'm using a quick-fix transfering the desired data via the src url of the iframes, but I don't like this...requiers the end target script to expect these values to come via $GET, would much rather pick them up via $SESSION...
