Displaying Images

Hopefully somebody can help me with this. I have been pulling my hair out the last couple of days.

I run a "FM" Radio station and we would like to display the "DJ On Air Now" on our website.

I need a .php script that will display an image based on the time of day

Example:

time image
0000-0559 http://www.993thebuzz.com/onair-generic.jpg
0600-0959 http://www.993thebuzz.com/onair-generic.jpg
1000-1459 http://www.993thebuzz.com/onair-rob.jpg
1500-1859 http://www.993thebuzz.com/onair-mike.jpg
1900-2259 http://www.993thebuzz.com/onair-dia.jpg
2300-2359 http://www.993thebuzz.com/onair-generic.jpg

any ideas? I am new to .php scripting and clueless at this point!

Like i said, I am new to .php

Maybe I am doing something wrong with the script you gave me. I copied what you supplied onto a notepad file - saved it as "onair.php" and put it on the server.

http://www.993thebuzz.com/onair.php

when I go to that page through a web browser, all I see is the script displayed on the screen.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your patience!

I think you neglected to put php tags around the code, like this:

<?php

code goes here

Thanks. Got it to work. Just wondering - does this script look at the servers time? or the users time? My webhosts server is an hour behind our local time here. I would have to adjust the times in the script you sent me.

This should take care of that, if you add it after the "$time_now = ..." line:

$time_now += 100;
if ($time_now > 2359) {
    $time_now -= 2400;
}

hi, I also had the same problem and was able to use your code successfully. My problem now is that...I have different programs that show on saturday and another set on sunday...

How would I be able to differentiate that using your code?
