Stylesheet Compability with firefox problem

Hey people

I work for a company and manage there website but i seem to have stumbled into a problem.

That is the URL of the website, if you open it with explorer you can see the tables on the left and on the right are blue. Now if you open this with firefox there just white, so im guessing theres a compablity problem with mozilla/firefox.

The problem should be at the / colors / part.

I don't see what you mean, but in general if there is a CSS issue, it's because IE handles CSS inheritance in a different (non-standard) way. IE may handle the inheritance properly if you specify the right doctype to get it into its so-called "standards mode".

In IE, some elements that you'd expect to inherit, don't. For example, td does not inherit from body normally.

Hmm didnt explain it too good then i guess, sorry.
I meant that i was trying to make the colors blue in the tables, so the effect would look better on the website. Explorer shows it fine in blue, but in firefox the tables are colorless and are simply white.

With exporer the center table is blue like it should be, but not with firefox.

So it has something to do with inheritance? maybe i should look into that some more. if anyone has any other idea's i'd love to hear them, thanks for the comment Mark.

Your stylesheet is extremely complicated, as is your HTML. I don't think it's fair to expect is to try to debug it.

Needless to say, the problem is probably due to inheritance working differently (i.e. incorrectly) in IE.
