Hi,
I am running a vbulletin 3.0.10 server on a Mac OS X 10.3.9 server with PHP 4.3.11, Apache 1.3.33, and MySQL 3.32.49.
I cannot get vbulletin to send any emails out, it is making it almost impossible to process any registration requests. I have tried setting up php.ini to send mail to two different email servers on my network, even when trying to send a registration or email test via vbulletin neither of the mail server's logs show any incoming messages or blocks - so i'm fairly confident something in the php install is not working correctly.
what i have tried in php.ini is:
under [mail function]
SMTP = 192.168.x.x (my mail server)
smtp_port = 25
i've added my internal email address to "sendmail_from" to see if that would help, it made no difference, but I figured it wouldn't since it stated it was for Win32 only. i've also tried the hostname of the email server into the SMTP field above but it also made no change.
This used to work earlier when I had php4 installed, it seemed to "break" after I installed php5... i have uninstalled php5 and reinstalled php4...something is amiss though.
Can anybody give me some ideas or direction? I appreciate any help, Thanks!
Ben
