a bit off topic in the linux forum dont ya think?
anyway, its not your webhost. you cant set a cookie in php after headers have already been sent (this is'nt a setting that can be changed, its a proticol restriction). the work arounds are simply to not send any headers before setting a cookie. ie: no output. or, use output buffering to get around it.
