Extract image from PDF

Does anyone know how I can extract an image from a PDF file using PHP? Is there already a built-in functionality or a 3rd party library available?

there is a 3rd partylib called PDFlib that can create PDF files on the fly and do alot more. im not sure of what its fully capable of but it mite be worth a read to see if you can do this with it? [man]pdf[/man]
