Hello there I run the site www.imservingmycountry.com and recently added script allowing people to upload files so I can show videos, pics and Sound. I went to this site http://thatvideosite.com/ and I see they have video upload and after uploaded it gives a chance to pick a thumbnail for viewing on the site. I am trying to figure out the best way of getting that same ability for my site. What do you recommend?

Do you want to simply create something like it? Perhaps you might find something at Hotscripts.com but I doubt it would be complete enough for you.

a bit of advice to you-- don't be afraid to post your inquiries here. the membership here is really helpful. everyone seems to try to help, and it is all w/out any pompous, "you're a dummy" attitude-- which ironically is often the case w/ many forums of this nature. trust me-- be active, ask questions "the smart way" (read the forum rules), and if you keep w/ it, you'll definitely be glad you joined!

Has anyone had a look at Imserving's website? No? You have to. It's just full of great stuff. I love this really, really funny photo from the 'Funny' section and also this fascinating shot from the not-to-be-missed 'Motorcycle splat' section.

I don't actually think we're looking at user contributions here. The galleries are part and parcel of the website, as created by Imserving. As s/he said, s/he wants scripts to allow people to upload files to the website - a feature which hasn't yet been implemented.
Let's just drop it. If Imserving wants help with PHP, then s/he's come to the right place. As I can't offer file-upload scripts in any case, I'll just keep silent and won't add Imserving's website to my favourites.
