Searching for Values in array

Ok Let's say I have the following array:

$affiliations = ('Name1,Company1,City1,Country1', 'Name2,Company1,City1,Country1', 'Name3, Company2, City2, Country2');

I want to be able to detect in the array that Name1 and Name2 have the same company, city & country. How do I do that? :bemused:

Say I have the following array:

$affiliations = array(
'Bill,Microsoft,Redmond,USA',
'Larry,Microsoft,Redmond,USA',
'Francois,Vivendi,Paris,France'
);

I am looking to output the following:

Bill(1), Larry(1), Francois(2)
(1)Microsoft,Redmond,USA; (2)Vivendi,Paris,France.

How can I modify your code to do this. I really apologize for asking this but I'm totally confused when it comes to arrays... 🙁
