🙂 Hello all,

I work at a fire department and have been tasked with finding a calendar that can display our personnels scheduled leave. What we need is very simple...

A calendar table showing all days of a given month
Each day cell would need to display the persons scheduled off for that day
e.g. vac. joe 12-15-2005
vac. chris 12-15-2005
vac. larry 12-15-2005
hol. sam 12-15-2005

Our data is stored in MS SQL but we can get it to access or MySql.

Being a local government agency our coding ability 😕 is very very limited. So we turn :rolleyes: to the PHP coding community for help.

I know of a granted government agency that uses a calendar at Yahoo! for such. Probably isn't nearly as large as your dept. though.

Just for curiousity's sake, you've heard of SourceForge?? Loads of the best Open Source stuff there ... and some of the worst, too. For example, WebCalendar is developed/headquartered there ... dunno if it'd work for you, but you might give it a try....

Well, if you can't find any things that meet your needs, I could code one for you over a weekend sometime. I too volunteer at a fire department, so I'd be happy to develop this script for you.

I have installed, tested over 20 and looked at 60+ other differant calendar apps in the past few days and none will meet our simple needs. A calendar table that has each cell list 1-10 names and type of leave for any given day from a MySQL, Access, MS SQL db.
