is it possible to create a php script or some kind of interent programming language that can save a cursor file? i want to be able to create a cursor and then save it all with using the internet.

Mouse cursor files? If that's what your talking about, yes. All you'd need to do is fopen() a new .cur file and fwrite() the appropriate data. But I don't quite understand if that's what you're talking about.

all i want to do is have a script to where i can design my own cursor on a web page, when i am done making the cursor, i want to be able to save the cursor as a file : .cur and use it on my computer as a cursor. all .cur files are compiled to work with windows.

Saving it is easy. I doubt if there are any scripts designed for making a cursor file, and that's a mighty large project.

Creating an online bitmap editor has been done a million times and thats all this is really isnt it?
a bitmap editor with specified dimensions of 1616 (or how ever big your cursors are (3232?)?) that saves to .cur files ? anyway, you will either need knowledge in flash or javascipt but php experience is vital unless u plan on using asp or somthing? 😉

i have already tried to make an 16X16 and 32X32 image and set it as my cursor. it does not work 🙁 i tried to rename it and everything.

ok i dont think you get me. you need to make a bitmap editor with either javascript or flash then use php to save the BITMAP to cursor format (however you to that?)

lol....that is what i am trying to figure out...how to save the file to work as a cursor. i can already do the paint thing in php and javascript, but i caint do the file save part. it is encripted in ascii or something.

Try going to http://www.wotsit.org/search.asp and searching for ".cur". If it's there there should be details about the file format.
