In the old time magic_qutoes_gpc is default set as off.
Now default is on.
My questions are
1) magic_quotes_gpc is set as on and then the serialize array in cookie is not working. so I should strip off the splashes to make the serialize working?
There are many these kind issues to worry about dealing with magic_quotes_gpc is set as on or off. It is easy to miss one or two. And usually when the errors happens, it took a whileto find it out.
Are there a complete check out list for this issue? such as if magic_quotes_gpc on, you need to do ... in ... situations.
Or
if if magic_quotes_gpc off, you need to do ... in ... situations.
2) Are there any good articles talking about how to program portable codes (no matter either magic_quotes_gpc on or off) ? What are the issues we need worry about and programming according to magic_quotes_gpc on or off?
3) Or should we just either just program for magic_quotes_gpc on or just program for magic_quotes_gpc off? And use .htaccess to set it up if the server was set up differently?
