print text file using php for linux on barcode printer

I need to print text file on barcode printer which is connected on one of the systems on intranet.

I have created a web based barcode software in php on linux. How can i use php to send the text directly to the barcode printer which is connected on the lpt1 port of one of the system.

Have a look at the user notes under the [man]printer[/man] section of the manual.

printer section defines functions for windows based php and not linux based php. is there any way where i can pass some linux command line functions from php which can send text to lpt1 port.

I'd reccomend looking at the comment at the top. Sort of fits your situation.

which comment on the top, if your talking of manual in php than i dont find any which really suits my requirement. So if any other thing possible for such problem, pls do tell me.
