Split data and determine values

Amateur here. I have a field with data formatted like this:
Material Replaced|No|Pest Present|No|Rodent Activity|No|Unit Replaced|No

I need to split this up and determine if Material Replaced = No , Pest Present = Yes, etc.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

thank you. this is working well. how do i select only the data i want? for example, in the report i am generating, say i just want Pest Present=No in a cell and not all the other info?

$string  = preg_replace('/(\|(no)|\|(yes))/is', " = \\2\\3", $string);
$explode = explode('|',$string);

foreach($explode as $key => $value) {
echo("$value<br />");
}

Then just replace the whole foreach-statement with this:

echo $explode[1];

the only problem now is that the data is not always in this order. sometimes "Pest Present|Yes|" will come before "Material Replaced|No|". the field that stores this is named "Dynamic Questions". is there anyway to simply see if the field contains "Pest Present|Yes" and print yes in my table cell? thanks again.
