How do I Display PHP within HTML

I know this may sound trivial to you PHP guru's but i'm kind of stuck and i'm not sure if i'm doing it right.

I want to call up a PHP page to display within a table of my HTML page. I've created the php page and can get the page to display within the table just fine in internet explorer but when i do a browser compatibility check it's way off in (Opera, Netscape and Firefox) and displays scrollbars etc. I've set all of the table widths/lengths and alignment o.k. but still no luck.

I think I may be using the wrong function to call up and display the php page. I'm currently using:

Is there a certain tag to embed a php page like i'm attempting? (It's not a form, the page is regularly updated content)

You might want to try just including your page. If I understand you correctly you want ot show that php page without scrollbars, right?

If so try taking away the iframe and put there :

<?php
include('n_release.php');
?>

It will show the php like it is build into the main site.

Yes but I think he wants to display his PHP page from within an HTML page.

One thing you might try is adding the scrolling="no" attribute to your iframe tag.

Another way to do it would be to use CSS. You have to have a good understanding of how CSS works to use this correctly, but by setting the overflow property of your iframe, you might be able to solve it (IF the above doesn't work).

Here is how I would do the iframe:

<iframe name="new" style="border: 0px; width: 168px; height: 185px; overflow: hidden;" align="left"  src="http://www.mysite.com/n_release.php" target="_blank"></iframe>

However, if the content of the iframe is more than 168 pixels, the bottom will get cut off. Try the scrolling="no" attribute first.

Yes you are correct. I am displaying the php content from within an HTML page. Your ammendment to the <iframe> code in CSS really helped. I implimented the "noscroll" and changed some size values a bit and it nest within the html page alot better! Thanks for your help.

I will just add for future reference and for anyone looking for simular help. Recognize that when it comes to webdesign their are inevitable differences in the way the coding will look and function within different browsers.

In my own compatibility tests, a design will look one way in Internet explorer and Aol Browsers and look different and require adjustments when viewed in Opera, Netscape and Firefox browsers.

It would be nice if all these developers got together and honored programming languages the same.

So far as I've found, the only way to gaurantee a solid design view in all browsers is to design the site entirely in flash. ahhhh... the wonderful world of webdesign!
