php code to load page into a table

I have been tasked with updating my company's intranet page to get rid of the pesky frames.

I understand it is possible to use php to load html pages into a table. Basically there is a table and a menu bar at the top that sits in a cell of a table. When the buttons are clicked they load a page into the bottom part of the table with php code. I have a few questions about this...

1. What is the code for this?
2. Is this the easiest way to make a frameless menu bar? I don't want to have to type code into every single page that I have... this is obviously NOT easy.
3. Would this method of setting things up allow people to bookmark certain pages of the intranet? This is essential so if it will not, then I need to figure out another way.

please, dont use use tables as a foundation for your layout (its silly) use div's 😃 and CSS based design.

You expect people to help you get paid? for nothing?

perhaps you should go try a few ideas/concepts on dynamic layouts then come back and ask for help wen you run into trouble instead of tryin to get people to do it for you from the start....
