[RESOLVED] Anyone use a template system? LIKE SMARTY?

BACKGROUND: I have built small sites before for gaming communities, and personal websites here and there, but I am about to embark on a HUGE PROJECT.

PROJECT: A Photography website. This site will incorporate many many features and applications.

PROBLEM: The coding is not what bothers me - what bothers me is the design part of it. I always run ito problems with this part. I cannot use Photoshop and create website templates - it s just impossible (I do not possess the talent). I want to use HTML and CSS per the standard and make it multi-browser compliant. I have come up with the concept, now I need to decide on a few things.....

I think a templating system would help me seperate the php coding side from the design side. I researched a bit and found a templating system called "SMARTY". It looks really robust, but since I know NOTHING about template systems - I was wondering if any of you kind folks would be able to point me in the right direction and give some advice.

Oh Yeah - an added problem - anyone know of a hack for PHPbb that would allow users to sign on for the website AND the forum at the same time? I used to have a hack for it, but I have no idea where it is now, and the site that I used it on is no longer in existence.

just create a simple templating system like in the other post. it shouldnt be to hard.
