Audio Loop Gap

Hi, this isnt php but maybe php could solve this. I have a audio file that I want to loop but there is like a 1 second gap between every time it loops. Why is this? The code that I am using is <BGSOUND SRC="file.mp3" LOOP="3">

just get a wave editor and cut the end off.....
