checkbox arrays

i have a form that prints out a list of people and info for contact. Once i have contacted them i want to delete them off the list so that others will not contact them a second time.

however to pull it out of the data base i just needed to make only 1 checkbox. I looked for how to set up multiply allready made checkboxes but i don't get how to set up the array for more than one if i only have 1. This loops till everyone in the record is posted. I set the value to equal the name of the person however i want it to check for both name and email when i delete so people with the same name are not deleted. ....i could just do by email...

I may be way off.....like can i even set the value the way i did. Eventually i want to have a reset button and a select all button as well....

well i have a table of info that is pulled from a database their name, email, sex, age, location, and the date they submitted the form. It is actually a tryout form for an online gaming clan.

Ok so it builds the table and puts in the info that they had put in earlier on another form and it was submitted to the database.

in order build the table i just needed 1 of everything and loop it till everyone in the database was posted. So i only put in one delete checkbox on the right hand side of their info.

However i want to delete only a few, all, or none.

so then you want a submit button which posts the info then u want some php to get the posted info and validate it and then tell the db to delete the entrys ?

is that what you mean..?

i have the list of entries...just want to delete them off the list and the database. Select them all and delete them or reset the checkboxes... reset isnt a prob its the other two select all and delete...

Does what i have create that array to where when i decide to delete it will put all the names in to be deleted???

I changed the value of the delete checkbox to be email instead of name.

So i checked it out and i went ahead and tried it and have an error....

i have the delete button directed to delete.php which runs the delete here it is.
