[RESOLVED] Not displaying string after space

HI All

I retreive data from MySQL and display it in a table that the user can edit and then update the database.

If the string being retrived has a space in it only displays up to the space eg.
full string Lemanic Flexo only displays Lemanic and when you update anly updates Lemanic.

Could this bee a coding error or is it something in the database that is wrong?

thats a strange one. normally string can get cut of at quotes. what field type are you using?

The field type is set to varchar in the DB with a lenth of a 100 and my table line looks as follows
<TD width = \"200\">Denomination </TD><TD width = \"350\"><input type=\"text\" name=\"Denomination\" size=\"50\" value=".$row_edit['Denomination']."></TD>";

ahha... thats why. you need to make sure all html attributes are surrounded by quotes. try...

<TD width = \"200\">Denomination </TD><TD width = \"350\"><input type=\"text\" name=\"Denomination\" size=\"50\" value=\"".$row_edit['Denomination'].\""></TD>";

Thats strange cause I copied script that works fine, I will test it later and let you know

I cut and paste the line as you put it in an get the following error

can i see more code? a little before, and after line 141.

This may help... Try THIS:

<input type=\"text\" name=\"Denomination\" size=\"50\" value=\"" . $row_edit['Denomination'] . "\"></TD>";

Instead of this:

<input type=\"text\" name=\"Denomination\" size=\"50\" value=\"" . $row_edit['Denomination'] . \""></TD>";
