Login connected to active directory

Does anyone know a way to make a login script that uses the account details from the active directory of a windows 2003 server?

Because I'm working on a project that makes the intranet site available from home so people can add information to it from there homes or check the information on it.

Edit :

Forgot to say that I know it is with ldap and connecting to the server goes well, but I need to know the right (set of) commands to check wether the username and password are the same as the ones in the active directory. So the site knows that the person who's opening the site is authorized.

Yes. Lookup something called adLDAP. I'm using it on my intranet at work. A little hacking for site-specific needs and all is well. It worked out of the box was a little underdeveloped. You may find yourself hacking your own little bits into it, too.

Remember, AD is LDAP with a lot of little Microsoft extensions. You can use PHP's LDAP functions to query it if you wanted to write your own scripts.
