why data enters twice if click on refresh button?

HI, I got an issue on home and on internet machine. I got some fields whose values can be stored in database. I got an issue that if i submit some data and refresh the page two times then another value of same data entered. on refreshing again and again, values keep entered all time into database.
Is there any possiblity to overcome this problem. or any solution. I am also using session. thnks

Yes, there are several ways to overcome this problem. Consider one of the solutions employed by messageboard software (like the one we are using). This would be to have an intermediate page after posting. The user cannot make more posts by refreshing the intermediate page.
