open page in frame

i would like to open a page always inside a frame. This can be achiieved with a simple javascript

However this can cause a popup depending on the user's browser settings.

Does anyone have an idea how to achieve this with PHP?

There is no way to solve this via PHP. Frames are entirely client side, except for declaration code. PHP is entirely server side.

I was thinking of sending a header when the previous page was not from www.mydomain.com so that the homepage with the frameset would appear.

Once the main frameset is opened visitors would click links and stay within the structure i intended.

Of course i am aware that visitors can escape the frameset from there by opening a new page in a new window, but i don't mind about that.

Is it possible then to check from what site a visitor came then ?

I initially placed the javascript in the Body. That leads to a possible popup. Now it is inside the <HEAD> segmetn and it works.
