[RESOLVED] User Authentication with PHP and MySQL

Hello All-

I was wondering how one might go about user authentication with mysql and php...
Would you even do it with PHP or would it be easier to use Perl and CGI, or even just PHP and a flat-file of some sort.

And with any of these configurations, what might the script look like?

There's a raft of tutorials about that just Google for "user authentication php" and up will pop 4,920,000 pages, that should keep you going for a while.
