using mysql_connect

ok im on a remote server and i keep get this error message:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Host '65.98.98.66' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server in /home/www/xxx.xxxx.com/do_addtopic.php on line 6
Host 'xx.xx.xx.xx' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server

this is what is on line six $conn = mysql_connect('http://xxxxxxx.com:3306','mcccgf_forum','forum')
i know username and password are correct, and that is the server my hosting co gave me any ideas?

Umm... yeah... you can't connect lol. The mySQL server isn't allowing your server at that IP address to connect to it. Talk to your host about it. It's not an issue with PHP, it just happens that something is screwed up in the config somewhere.

srry for wasting everyones time, problem was a simple typo, i had a ":" for some reason in the middle of the server.
