unserialize question

I am trying to populate checkboxes. Why would the below checks only one box when it supposed to be 3?

	$predplayer1="$playerlname1 $playerfname1";
	$player1=unserialize($getplayers1['players1']);
	foreach ($player1 as $p1) {
	if ($predplayer1==$p1) 
	{
	$checkbox1 ="<input type=\"checkbox\" name=\"predplayer1[]\" value=\"$predplayer1\" checked>";
	 }

else { 
$checkbox1 ="<input type=\"checkbox\" name=\"predplayer1[]\" value=\"$predplayer1\">";
}
	}

Because $predplayer1 only contains one value, and if there's only one value in $player1 that matches it, only one checkbox will be marked.

Judging from your posted code (seeing as I can't see what you're linking to); beggin' your pardon, but $predplayer1 only has one value - a string (PHP can't read your mind and isn't going to guess that those spaces mean anything special). If you changed that to an array, and then used [man]in_array[/man] to search it, you might get further.

I've got that solved thanks. But I've got another problem which I have been trying to sort for hours.

I have that serialized code in database

a:5:{i:0;s:0:"";i:1;s:4:"5 25";i:2;s:2:"15";i:3;s:2:"55";i:4;s:0:"";}

I unserialize it like

$predminutes2=unserialize($getplayers2['gminutes2']);

right after that I do

for( $i2=0; $i2 < count($predminutes2);$i2++) {

$minutes2="<input type=\"text\" name=\"predminutes2[]\" value=\"$predminutes2[$i2]\" size=\"10\">"; 

}

What am doing wrong as this is returning only the last string of the array (NULL in that case, but 78 for another example)

$minutes2="<input type=\"text\" name=\"predminutes2[]\" value=\"$predminutes2[$i2]\" size=\"10\">";
}

Notice the ++$i2 instead of $i2++

I'm pretty sure this makes a difference 😉

Thanks for answering, I had try that and it returns the same thing, no changes

Change:

$minutes2="<input type=\"text\" name=\"predminutes2[]\" value=\"$predminutes2[$i2]\" size=\"10\">";

..to:

$minutes2.="<input type=\"text\" name=\"predminutes2[]\" value=\"$predminutes2[$i2]\" size=\"10\">";

Problem was that you always assigned a new value to $minutes2, so it took the last one from the loop. BTW, you could use foreach to go through array instead using for loop.

I tried that too. That dot multiplies it x amount of times reproducing itself over and over.

I am doing this with vbulletin, using their templates system. So minutes2 is not really unique because the whole thing (including all the ones before like

	$playernumber1=$getplayers1['number'];
	$playerinfo1=$getplayers1['info'];

displays in

eval('$playerlist1 .= "' . fetch_template('soccer_predictplayer1') . '";');

and also no luck with the foreach statement
