Looking for a tutorial

Hello,

I'm new to PHP and trying to learn it quick. I've been reading a lot on-line and I'm able to read files from previous employees where I work. But I'm looking to create some of my own files now and/or edit existing ones.

I'm looking for some helpful on-line tutorials that will cover vocabulary, syntax, HTML/forms, MySQL and DB management.

If anyone has come across anything that was particularly helpful, I would be appreciative.

It really makes me happy that someone really reads the manual and other tutorials to learn how things really work.

Forums are full of wannabe coders who download scripts, copy-paste them into their code, mess with it and then cry out that "it's broken, fix it" without a slightest idea of basic syntax, programming logic or common sense.
