Simple CMS To Add To Excising Site?

Just wondered if there was a cms (free) which you can add to your existing site?

What i mean by that is, done a site as normal and i just add the php/asp code into the table where i want to the content to be edited for example.

Thus enabling me still have navigation/banner the whole design etc however, can control the content through cms.

Add the links to it in the nav and give each page an i.d etc.

Any ideas?

Honestly, it's probably easier to do something yourself. CMS's come with quite an overhead...

You can try PHP Nuke at http://phpnuke.org. It has more possibilities than you need on a simple site.
